Marc's VW Scirocco '79

New weapon of choice

Marc Längerer's new love is now a VW Scirocco, built in 1979, equipped with a 1.8L turbo engine.

After some initial issues with the tuning, the first partial successes were achieved through a few refinements. At the 53rd International ADAC Hill Climb in Hauenstein (Rhön), a satisfying 5th place in the German Championship and a 4th place in the KW Hill Cup were secured. However, there is still a lot of work to be done on the car to unlock its full potential. With the right fine-tuning and, of course, the proper EMKA oil, there’s hope for many more successes in the future.

From August 23rd to 25th, 2024, the penultimate race took place in Oberhallau, Switzerland. This track is almost tailor-made for the Scirocco’s design.

From September 6th to 9th, 2024, the 55th International AVD Hill Climb took place in Eichenbühl.
